Manogya is a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist practising in Delhi NCR. She is trained in the Existential-Humanistic orientation and also uses an attachment-informed approach in her sessions. Her expertise is in the area of depression, anxiety, personality disorders, interpersonal relationships and family conflicts. After practising and training in psychotherapy for more than three years now, Manogya is also engaged in research and works with fellow therapists and psychology students to supervise and train them in counselling and psychotherapy. She completed her undergraduate studies from LSR Delhi, followed by pursuing her MSc in Psychological Studies from the University of Glasgow, UK. As far as therapy is concerned, does something grave needs to happen for one to seek therapy? Not at all. In fact, try holding in your breath and not exhaling it for 2 minutes. Feel suffocating? Now imagine the feeling of just exhaling it altogether. Isn't it a sigh of relief? And that’s what therapy feels like (eventually though). Similarly, throwing away your messy thoughts and getting rid of the frustration while also being able to get a brand new perspective can be healing, relaxing, life changing, all at the same time. The therapeutic space provides a non judgemental, confidential and safe place where all your emotions and feelings are openly welcomed. The idea is to not provide any client with solutions, but to help clients identify the blockages which in turn makes the them capable enough to take their own decisions.
