A little bit of this, and a little bit of that! Personally I feel that both make up a person, college shapes a person holistically with how much exposure and accepting your college is. If the teacher/college is accepting of diverse views, the social contact you may get out of a college enhances your interaction with others and also makes you have opinions. on the other hand, degree relates to purely academic side of it, which can give you information, but it becomes knowledge with experiences and interactions which will give you a perspective.College also aims at curricular activities that makes up the self, apart from academia! Hope this helps
