It is a completely scientific process in which the counselor ask you take a test to analyze your aptitude and your interest. They'll also suggest booming career options related to your aptitude and the ways to go about. I personally found career counselling insightful as I've always been a confused mess.
During the classes 11th and 12th students come across many fields which fascinates towards them but due to the pressure of the academics they suppress that will . And the time after boards gives you the opportunity to ponder them once again so in case you feel you are not sure of your decision, career counselling is mandatory thing to do. All your questions and queries regarding your career is answered. I too went for it after 12th . That's how I've realised that business administration is my cup of tea.
