Mr. Varun started his career in the hotel industry with the 3 year STEP (Systematic Training and Education Programme) at The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra with his core areas being Front Office and Food & Beverage Service. In Front Office, he worked in different areas like Front Desk, Concierge, Cashier and Reservations. In Food & Beverage Service, he worked in All Day Dining and Speciality restaurants, Bar, Pool bar, In Room Dining and Butlers.

He got into the Management programme of The Oberoi Group i.e. OCLD (The Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development) in the Guest Service Management stream. It has been a year in the programme and he had been trained at The Oberoi, New Delhi during the course. His current position is of a Guest Service Management Associate in OCLD with The Oberoi Group.
